Margaret Mahy Character Day!

We have had such a wonderful day, all dressed up as our favourite Margaret Mahy characters. We loved the character parade this morning. We have been writing stories about our costumes, reading 'The Great Piratical Rumbustification', and enjoying our ginger witch cookies that we baked! Yum.

Here are some photos of our exciting morning:

  1. Well done Ms Bayes and Ms Smith, and all the fantastic Foundation Class girls. Lovely group photo.

Nice to see the books the girls brought along. Here at home, we got to know about all the other books Margaret Mahy has written because of the day.

  3. What a great tribute to Margaret Mahy! You all looked amazing in the parade, great to see how colourful and creative all your costumes were. Mrs Bayes you were a fantastic Lion in the Meadow and Mrs Smith looked like a real Pirate especially with her moustache !
