On Thursday we shared in a ceremony where the girls gifted their stones to the tree. It was a very special occasion, where we all gathered quietly around. One at a time the girls approached the tree and placed their stones down at the base of it. We invited the girls to share some words if they wanted to as they had their turn, and we were all very touched when Ria shared, "I do. Oh, actually, I just want to give the tree a great big hug."
The girls seemed to take the process of giving the tree their gift very seriously. "I think the tree is happy now" Sophia offered. "It's beautiful again" added Isobella.

Ria: This is exactly why we love you so much. You are so genuine and loving and make us very proud. I am sure the tree was delighted to get a great big hug from you.

ReplyDeleteIt's so touching to see all of you care SO much for the tree! I saw the stones you laid at the tree's foot and it was lovely! I am sure the tree felt so loved by all of you.
ReplyDeleteThis so reminds me of one of my all times favourite books, The Giving Tree. I'd love to bring it to school and share it with the girls.
