This morning the foundation girls had the opportunity to meet and ask questions to some old girls who attended Diocesan in the past. This was a great follow on from yesterdays discussion about pinnies.
The girls wondered....
Did the old girls wear pinnies when they were young?
Many of the ladies said they did not wear pinnies.
This surprised the girls to hear this.
"The old girls uniforms must have been dusty...... and how did they know
everyones names if they had no pinny?" said Féline
"I wonder what the old ladies looked like when they were little?" added Jacqui.
The girls performed on stage and sang the 'Goldilocks' song.
The girls walked around the tables and proudly showed their lovely drawings from yesterday.
What a wonderful opportunity for the girls. Through this experience they were able to connect with old girls of the school which helped deepen their understanding about the history of Dio.
We look forward to seeing where this interest goes in the future.
