The Monarch Butterfly.

This morning Isobella made a very exciting discovery...
One of the Monarch butterflies had hatched out of its' chrysalis!
We moved the butterfly outside, so that when it was ready it could fly away into the open air.
The girls watched on with a real sense of anticipation. "It's just so beautiful," shared Lutie
After a while it began to move a lot.
It was very interesting looking at the beautiful markings on the butterflies wings.
At times it hung still, and in other moments...
...it spread its' wings nice and wide.
When the butterflies wings were ready it flew off across the playground.
I wonder where it spent this beautiful sunny day?

  1. It's such an amazing experience to see God's beautiful creation growing in different stages! You girls are so lucky to be able to see the changes up close. Hope the butterfly comes back to lay more eggs!
