The Foundation Class Swimming Carnival

After attending the Year One Swimming Carnival last week.
The girls said they would like to have their own
swimming carnival day.
We thought this was a great idea so this afternoon the girls took part in 4 races.

Race One: Running the length of the pool.

Race Two: Blowing the ping pong ball.

Race Three: Horse Racing with the noodles.

Race Four: The flutter board.

The girls lined up behind cones and listened for their name to be called before entering the pool.

We invited Madame Alpe to be the adjudicator as she played this
part in the Year One Swimming Carnival last week.
After all we needed our carnival to be just like Year Ones!

Running the length of the pool!

We blew ping pong balls along the surface of the water.
This helps us to learn how to breath underwater.

Horse racing!

'Flutter Boards'

What an amazing afternoon in the pool.
The girls really tried their best and had lots of fun!
I think this might be the start of a new tradition in The Foundation Class.

  1. This sounded like some serious fun you girls had while I was away. I just know that when you girls are at the Year One swimming sports next year, the new Foundation Class girls will be watching you, and then they will be able to enjoy their own swimming sports because you girls came up with this fabulous idea of having Foundation Class swimming sports. Well done girls.
